This website is an example of information we would set up for our middle school students. We have provided several ways for them to get involved. Our Coins for Calls idea, will have students collect coins for a period of time. The coins will be used to buy international calling cards for our troops. This is a great idea because it is low cost. Students can donate any amount they wish and in the end they will see how working together will help them raise a lot of money. The other program is called Care Packages for Soldiers. This program will collect things like toothpaste, candy bars, protein bars, and crossword puzzles, etc to send in care packages. This program will help students realize to appreciate the little things we take for granted. Our last program called Hugs for the Holidays will collect holiday greeting cards for soldiers to recieve during the holidays. Our goal is to teach student to appreciate the sacrafices our troops and their families make in order to protect our country.  All of these programs require little cost and effort. It is a great way to show students that small acts of kindness are greatly appreciated and can make a big difference in someone's life.
